Location Summary
This M2 system monitors vessel activity in the Bahía de Loreto National Park. Pronatura works with the Comisión Nacional de Áreas Naturales Protegidas (CONANP) at this site, the Mexican federal agency responsible for managing Mexico’s protected natural areas. The area is known for its diverse coastal environments, presence of marine mammals, and tourism activities. There are few rangers to monitor activity over a large area, so M2 allows managers and stakeholders to observe activity remotely and easily share information across agencies.
