Moss Landing, California
M2 Deployed Here!
Location Summary
This was the first M2 test site in the field and provided a crucial location for early M2 development. The system began monitoring the Moss Landing Harbor area and central Monterey Bay beginning in 2015, providing valuable human activity data in an area of high biological significance for many species in the Monterey Bay National Marine Sanctuary. This site was retired in 2021 as a result of the expanding operations at the Aquaculture Center at Moss Landing. All data collected by retired systems remain accessible for users interested in historical analysis.
