Location Summary
Espíritu Santo National Park, off the coast of La Paz Bay, is home to diverse marine life, including seabirds and marine mammals, and is included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Green List of Protected and Conserved Areas. The area has been historically impacted by fishing, and the M2 system deployed on the east side of the main island monitors core no-take zones. Local partners use M2 to help protect the island's waters and recover biodiversity.
